ずっと連絡をとっていなかったアメリカの知人から連絡がきた。なんでもロンドンで盗難に遭い、ホテル代を支払えない、送金してくれたらアメリカに帰国後すぐに返金するとのこと。で、ずっと連絡をとっていなかったくらいだから送信者の名前に心当たりがないなあで放置していたら、それを追いかけてつづけて2通。どうもハッキングされていんちきメールに悪用されたらしい。その間の事情を伝えるメールのあて先（全部Ccで送ってるから丸見えだし！）の一つに別の知人がおり、これで当初のメールの主が知人であることが判明。…藤吉の職場アドレスもこのようにしてあちこちへのいんちきメールに使われているのかも知れず、困ったことだ。

I'm writing this email to everyone in my email address book. I may not have contacted some of you for sometime, but need to make sure you don't open an email sent probably early this morning that states I'm in London and need financial help.
I am not in London and do not need financial help.Someone hacked into my email account and sent many or all of you the bogus email. Jim spent all morning getting my email account cleaned and safe again. He emailed some or all of you warning you of the bogus email.
Please don't forward the bogus email you may have earlier received, but rather delete it immediately.
I apologize for any problem this may have caused, and it is safe to email me again.

…ただし、この人のパソコンがハックされたのかどうかははっきりしない。この人のアドレスを持っている別の人のパソコンがハックされ、それでたまたまこの人のアドレスがいんちきメールに悪用されたという可能性もある。藤吉の職場アドレスには、藤吉の職場アドレスを騙ったいんちきメールが毎日たくさん届くが、今のところ藤吉パソコンがハックされた痕跡はない（ほらほら、だから知らないうちにだって！と言えなくもないが）。困ったことだ。
